1. This is a great comprehensive 2 disc dvd collection of the late/great Rory Gallagher. This dvd contains some blues rock at its best, plus, you get to see Rory playing his heart out on the electric guitar. He certainly can play the blues, including "slide" guitar technique. 4. Apr 03,  · Today's CD (or CDs) are "Check Shirt Wizard - Live In '77" by Rory Gallagher. Now this two CD set has only just come out. Recorded in Hammersmith, Brighton Dome, Sheffield City Hall & Newcastle City Hall in January & February with Gerry McAvoy on bass, Lou Martin on piano & organ & Rod De'Ath - drums (one of Rory's best bands), this is absolutely cracking stuff/5(19).

7. Another great live Rory. Are there better live Rory Gallagher albums? Yes, live in Europe and Irish tour are better but if you own those already and are a Rory fan you will not be disappointed with this at all. It's got live versions of moonchild and bad penny on it! Great stuff indeed/5(52).
